How do I regain access to my account?
Regaining Access to Your Token of Trust Account
If you find yourself locked out of your Token of Trust account, there are several options available to regain access. Here's a breakdown of the steps you can take:
1. Option 1: Contact an Existing User
- If you know an existing user who can invite you, this is the simplest solution.
- Ask a colleague who has access to Token of Trust to send you an invitation.
- Once you receive the invitation, follow the instructions to log in by retrieving the one-time code sent to your email address.
2. Option 2: Regain access to a user email that DOES have access to Token of Trust
- If your Token of Trust account is only connected to company email addresses that have been closed, you'll need to contact your company's IT Administrator.
- Request the IT Admin to reset the password for one of the listed email addresses.
- Once the password is reset, you can access the inbox associated with that email address.
- Retrieve the one-time code sent to that email and use it to log in to Token of Trust.
- After logging in, you can invite your primary email address to the Token of Trust account and use the service as a normal user.
3. Option 3: Account Deletion and Recreation
- If accessing the listed email addresses or contacting the IT Admin is not possible, you may need to delete your current account profile.
- Contact Token of Trust support and request the deletion of your existing account.
- After deletion, you can sign up for a new account with the email address and admin user you prefer.
- Keep in mind that this process involves starting fresh with your Token of Trust account and loosing access to any history of verifications or activity in your previous account.
