Product Overview: Age Verification
Age Verification is a specially configured form of Identity Verification. This service focuses on cost efficiency by limited the options and regionality of the service. If you find that Age Verification doesn't allow you the regional coverage or flexibility you need, consider Identity Verification or schedule a time to meet with our sales team to craft a custom solution.
How does Age Verification work?
When you activate Age Verification with Token of Trust you are asked to set a minimum age that will be used to accept or reject users.
When a new users goes through verification, they will provide their name, date of birth, and address of residence.
Age Verification will take that information and try to match it against a public or private database to corroborate that it describes a real person. If it does, it will then calculate the current age of the real person. Their age is compared to the minimum age you've set and only if their age meets or exceeds the minimum will the user be allowed through verification.

Age Verification is available through our integrated plugins on WooCommerce, Shopify and BigCommerce, in our HQ, and through our API.
